The Fourth of July celebrations may be winding down, but there is still plenty of action booming in the ADK this weekend.

Shatner Weekend | Star Trek Tour | Ticonderoga | July 7 - 9

Yes, that William Shatner. He’s making his annual (star) trek to Ticonderoga for a three-day celebration of all things Star Trek.

Tickets are still available for events with the OG Captain James T. Kirk, although the top ticket, the Admiral’s All-Inclusive Package, is sold-out.

I Love NY Horse Show | Lake Placid | July 7 to 9

Experience the excitement of attending one of America’s most respected equine competitions, the I Love NY Horse Show.

The action starts each show day at 8:00 am, with classes running simultaneously in five separate rings. Attend this thrilling event for an hour or a whole day and see competition ranging from ponies ridden by tomorrow’s champions to members of the U.S. Equestrian Team atop some of the world’s best horses.

“What the Constitution Means to Me” | Depot Theatre | Westport | June 7, 8, 9

We caught this excellent performance of Heidi Schreck’s Tony-award-winning play and give it two thumbs up.

The Depot Theater’s charming and intimate setting is perfect for this outstanding play that is humorous, thought-provoking, enlightening, and thoroughly entertaining.

46th Annual Mayor's Cup Regatta & Festival | Plattsburgh | July 8-9

The City of Plattsburgh hosts the 2023 Mayor’s Cup Festival and Regatta at the City Beach in partnership with Plattsburgh Sunrise Rotary Club.

The competition begins Saturday morning with races in three divisions — Cruising, Racing, and Multihull — on spectacular Lake Champlain.

In addition to the Regatta, the Mayor’s Cup Festival offers everyone two days of fun diversions, including kayak rides, a 5K run/walk, volleyball, sand sculpting, live music, food, a cornhole tournament, and more.

12th Annual Runabout Rendezvous | Saranac Lake | July 8

Fans of vintage Chris-Craft boats and handmade Adirondack guide boats unite! The Runabout Rendezvous on Flower Lake in beautiful Saranac Lake Village is back for the 12th year.

Here’s your chance to get close to gleaming antique wooden boats and meet other enthusiasts.

Rock the Dock | Lake George | July 8

The Rock the Dock festival takes place each year directly on the beautiful shores of Lake George at the Lake George Steamship Company’s pier.

The event features a full roster of stellar bands and many local craft, food, and beverage vendors.

Chestertown Fireworks | July 8th

Didn’t get enough pyrotechnics earlier in the week? Have no fear. Chestertown’s annual fireworks are scheduled for July 8th at Town Hall on Route 9, across from Tops.
