The Adirondack Trust Presents “A Warbler’s Journey”

Are you a nature enthusiast and lover of birds? The Adirondack Land Trust presents a unique and enchanting experience: The Art + Science of “A Warbler’s Journey,” featuring Pulitzer-Prize Finalist Scott Weidensaul and award-winning illustrator Nancy Lane.

Listen as they discuss their captivating book that brings the story of an intrepid yellow warbler's journey from Central America all the way to Canada alive through Weidensaul’s powerful prose combined with Lane’s detailed oil paintings - earning it coveted recognition on NPR's 2021 "Books we love" list.

During this virtual event, these amazing creators reveal fascinating insights into their collaboration process behind this beautiful work that celebrates nature; birders in attendance will be able to hear for themselves why Yellow Warblers draw such adoration among naturalists with their signature “sweet-sweet-I'm so sweet!" trill as they flit about streamside habitats looking for caterpillars.

Registration is open online. And be sure to pick up or order your very own copy at Bookstore Plus in Lake Placid or one of many other local bookstores.
