Enjoy a Snow Day at Great Camp Sagamore in the Adirondacks

What’s better than a snow day? A snow day at an authentic Adirondack Great Camp. Great Camp Sagamore, just outside the village of Raquette Lake, is hosting the first of two snow days in 2024 on January 27, 2024. They will also host another Snow Day on February 24.

Sagamore was first listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It was then designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2000.*

On January 27, visit Sagamore to experience Gilded Age winter life at this former Vanderbilt property.

A full slate of Adirondack winter wilderness activities.

• Guided Cross-Country Skiing at 1 pm

• Guided Snowshoe Hike at 1 pm

• All Day Sledding

• All Day Campfires

• All Day Ice Skating

• Hot Chocolate, Tea, and Coffee

• Chili - served at noon until it's gone

Some important details (pay attention!).

• Bring your own gear (snowshoes, skis, sleds, etc.). Sagamore does not provide equipment.

• Food and beverages (chili, coffee, tea and hot chocolate) will be available at noon while supplies last.

• Not all buildings will be open to the public. Collins and Playhouse are the only ones that will be open.

• ALL-WHEEL DRIVE or snow tires are recommended. Great Camp Sagamore is located 4 miles down a dirt road with steep and curvy hills.
