Matinee Performance of It’s a Wonderful Life Live Radio Play at Tannery Pond Center
The Tannery Pond Center offers a matinee performance of the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life,” performed as a live radio play by Gem Radio Theatre on Sunday, December 11.
The whole family will be enchanted as Gem Radio Theatre takes us back to WADK radio station during the golden age of radio. This small but mighty troupe of actors gather to bring family-favorite, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” to the airwaves. Watch in magical awe as the cast voices over 30 parts, and the foley artist creates sound effects live using a unique array of props to bring the story of George Bailey to life.
The sentimental tale of “It’s a Wonderful Life,” told through this simulated radio broadcast, will fill your heart with holiday cheer and remind us, through George’s story and a miracle named Clarence, why life is so wonderful.
This event is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
