Saranac’s Cock-A-Doodle Shoe 5K/10K Snowshoe Race and Kids Scramble

An annual Adirondack snowshoe event with something for everyone.

The 2024 Cock-A-Doodle-Shoe 5K/10K and the 1/2 Mile Kids' Snowshoe Scramble are scheduled for January 14, 2024. This fun and family-friendly event is held in the beautiful Adirondacks.

Since 2013, these races have attracted World and National Champions, National Team members, future Junior National Champions, and competitors of all abilities across North America. The Cock-A-Doodle-Shoe offers something for everyone, whether it's the stunning scenery or the fun and challenging course.

For both events, a limited number of loaner shoes will be available, courtesy of Dion Snowshoes and the Town of Plattsburgh Parks and Recreation Department.
