AuSable Forks 19th Annual Christmas Festival
It's an old-fashioned Adirondack yuletide celebration.
The 19th Annual Christmas in the Forks will surely bring everyone in the family into the holiday spirit. Event organizers have planned a full slate of activities over two days.
A variety of fun activities are planned on Saturday, December 2.
Event organizers have designed a schedule to entertain all members of the family.
10 am — "Julie Jingles & Friends" music and story time at the Au Sable Forks Library, with a special appearance by Meriloons the Clown
Noon to 1:30 pm — Cookie Decorating at the Au Sable Forks Ambulance Garage.
2 pm — "Jingle Bell Fun Run" starting at the Black Brook Town Park. No pre-registration for the race is required, and runners can show up before 2 pm to participate
6 pm — The big moment arrives with the Christmas Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting and fireworks
Directly after the fireworks - Winter Wonderland with Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Town of Jay Community Center
Also following the fireworks, an Ugly Holiday Sweater contest for the adults will take place at 20 Main Tavern
Get ready for an incredible parade line-up in 2023.
Organizers have assembled a fantastic roster of parade entertainers, including new entries this year, such as the Peru Nighthawks Marching band and a musical float featuring Susan Richards and Scott Tuller representing ADK Mountain Spirits.
Returning entries include talented North Country favorites such as The Lawn Chair Ladies from Saranac Lake, the gifted AuSable Theatre Group presenting Candyland, and the AuSable Forks elementary children, to name a few.
Also making their return to delight the crowd will be the Grinch, Abominable Snowman, and the lovable Frosty Forks. The Essex County and Clinton County Sheriff’s Departments will lead the parade, along with the New York State Police and the sharply dressed AuSable Forks Volunteer Fire Department Color Guard.
The fun continues on Sunday, December 3.
8 am to 11 am — Big, Big Breakfast at the Au Sable Forks Fire Department featuring gingerbread pancakes
6 pm — Tree lighting at Upper Jay Park
