Looking for a way to express yourself creatively? Patrice Jarvis-Weber will lead participants in creating this picture in acrylic paint on canvas at the Tannery Pond Center in North Creek, NY. Participants will leave with a completed work.

Did you know drawing, painting, and other forms of creativity can be used as stress relievers for most people who try them? Studies have shown that most people who try art as a form of therapy or stress relief have experienced significant reductions in their cortisol levels when doing so.

About the artist: Patrice Jarvis-Weber has been a part of the Adirondack region’s art community for over 25 years.

She has worked in and for local art organizations planning and implementing numerous programs and is presently the teaching artist at World Awareness Children’s Museum. Her classes are also held at Wiawaka, the Adirondack Experience, SUNY Adirondack, and many other venues. Her passion is to educate through art and instill an appreciation of the arts.

The two-hour workshop is limited to 8 participants; all abilities are welcome. Cost: $25/person; please bring cash or a check. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
