The Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake Reopens for 2023 Season
The ADKX, formerly known as the Adirondack Museum, opens its doors for a season that includes new exhibitions and more opportunities to appreciate the ADK.
Located in beautiful Blue Mountain Lake, the Adirondack Experience offers visitors a truly unique experience. With more than 20 buildings nestled across 120 acres overlooking one of the ADK’s prettiest lakes, the museum’s open-air campus offers everyone something to do.
Step into the rich history of this region as you browse the museum, row an authentic guide boat, break up a logjam, climb a classic ADK fire tower, or enjoy a family-friendly hike to Minnow Pond.
Coming in July is their newest permanent exhibition, Artist & Inspiration in the Wild, celebrating the Adirondack style, an artistic tradition unique to this region. It is the most comprehensive showing of the museum’s art and decorative collections in the entirety of the ADKX’s history. Artists & Inspiration’s four main galleries will illustrate how the natural features of the Adirondacks—light, forests, water, and mountains—have sparked the creative visions of painters, sculptors, and expert artisans.
The ADKX also promises its usual full season of programs and events in 2023. Visit their website for more information.
